I'm trying to load/ unload form a fanuc series 16i, 18i, and 180i. I'm having trouble and I think it may be the 4gb compact flash card that I'm trying to use. Has anyone had this problem and if so what size memory card should I use? I suspect the machine isn't recognizing that size of card. Thanks

Tried that already with no sucess but thx alot for the input. I'd try a smaller memory card but non of the pc stores or big box stores sell em. They only have the larger memory cf cards.

Yes, your suspicion is correct. I would suggest nothing over 1gig though. 2 gig can at times be hit or miss (in my endeavors) I personally use a 128MB.

Same problem here we got a used machine and had to have fanuc come out to work out the rs-232 issues, turns out the flash card loads 15 times faster, even at this reduced write speed! First, we bought and tried a sandisk ultra-2 2 gb with a write speed of 100x and it wouldnt work, found an older 1 with 15 mb/s write speed and that works fine,i use it in a compact flash adapter. I was told and has been true so far the memory is not the factor, but its is the write speed! Good luck |
