Does anyone know if you can put comments in the program on a 3T control? I am running a Miyano BNC-20. Keypad does not have (). If there are comments in the program on PC, when I load to machine, it strips them. Is there another character that this control uses, or does it just not have that option? |

IIRC when the control strips the comments that it is not available in that control. I could be wrong because I remember seeing another thread pertaining to a parameter setting to strip comments. I am not very familiar with the 3series control but on the Oseries I believe that model A and B would not allow comments but C and D would. Check your parameter book probably under I/O or MDI/CRT/EDIT sections to see if there is such a setting on your control. Output your program to PC ,edit and insert (------- ) on the PC editor and then send the program to CNC. It will work as I do it on my Miyano BNC 34 with Fanuc 3TC.
