Does anyone know if you can put comments in the program on a 3T control?

I am running a Miyano BNC-20.
Keypad does not have ().
If there are comments in the program on PC, when I load to machine, it strips them.

Is there another character that this control uses, or does it just not have that option?

IIRC when the control strips the comments that it is not available in that control. I could be wrong because I remember seeing another thread pertaining to a parameter setting to strip comments. I am not very familiar with the 3series control but on the Oseries I believe that model A and B would not allow comments but C and D would. Check your parameter book probably under I/O or MDI/CRT/EDIT sections to see if there is such a setting on your control.

if your key pad doesnt have () facility you can use /* comment*/ for writing a comment. try this i think it works .

Output your program to PC ,edit and insert (------- ) on the PC editor and then send the program to CNC. It will work as I do it on my Miyano BNC 34 with Fanuc 3TC.
