Default Alarm 086 lathe fanuc.plz help me

Machine Alarm Error & Message:
86 - DR SIGNAL OFF

Fanuc's Alarm Description: When entering data in the memory by using Reader / Puncher interface,
the ready signal (DR) of reader / puncher was turned off. Power supply of I/O unit is off or cable
is not connected or a P.C.B. is defective.

how can i turn on DR??? what is DR

Welcome to the group.

A few things. What model Fanuc are you using? This typically means 1 of 3 things (also could be more). Either your cable is not wired properly, your cable is not plugged in, or you have the wrong device selected on the control.

Let me know what model fanuc you have and I will get you the parameter settings for that control.

This is typically an easy alarm to get by unless you have RS232 port problems.

I don’t know the model control but I have attached a pinout of the cable I use for all my Fanucs.

I know this problem. You change or repair your cable RS232 please.
