Default Logging servo load

I have a 16i CNC on a broach machine and the customer wants to log the cutting axis torque during feed.

I know you can view the motor load/amps on the CNC servo display screen but is there a way to read this value in real time into the PMC ?

I saw B-window function read 23 in the manuals

"Read a feed motor load current value (A/D conversion data)"

Has anyone ever used this function ?

Default Re: Logging servo load

Mustang,
I am working with a 16i as well. I would like to see these energy dates in the PMC too. Could you find the addresses of these variables?

Regards,
Alberto

Smile Re: Logging servo load

You can use the Function code 211 for reading the estimated disturbance torque data in the PMC via Window read , for this you will have to use the unexpected disturbance torque function of the CNC
