Do you have the Sinumerik manual named 880 GA1 Installation instructions? If you donīt, go download it at the Siemens site, it's the 11.91 edition.

By the way, when I asked you about the version you are using, I didn't mean your PG's software version, I meant your Sinumerik firmware version.

As suggessted before, you must perform the "Standard installation sequence" completely starting at page #99 of that manual (Clear everything, format everything and reload everything), be very carefull with each step.

If you say you already did that, then I might have a couple more suggesstions to try.

I already took a quick look at the plc program that you uploaded (C2431@ST.S5D), I was specially interested in finding out if it had the OB1 block inside and it does, in your program this block orders to jump unconditionally to the first program block PB1 and so on with many others, I mention it because without this block your machine would be as it is, not working.

Since this was my ace of spades, we will have to wait for you to finish the standard installation sequence, and see how it goes.

During initial start up we were able to see this No:
S880 T.67
We have carried out "Standard installation sequence" completely starting at page #99 of that manual (Clear everything, format everything and reload everything), and I did it very carefull each step.
But we were not able to solve the problem i.e error code 43.
Instead when I connected the PC to load or check software using PCIN software I got following messages:
27 3 N 0 RS 232 disabled
28 3 N 0 circ buffer o/flow(RS 232)
We have followed procedure given in these code to solve the problem but that didnt work.
This didnt happened before we have tried adjusting values of
5030 00000000
5031 11000111
5032 00000000
5033 11000111
but nothing happend.

No, what I mentioned about OB1 is that your plc program (your C2431@ST.S5D file) DOES have this block inside and it is well written, it orders the plc to execute the first program block PB1 unconditionally, this is an order to start processing the whole plc program regardless of any other block status.

First you need to get rid of those RS232 alarms, something went wrong during the standard installation sequence and I guess the system is not allowing you to upload all the data in the right way.

Hello Suleman,

I would need you to tell me the brand, type, model, year of machine and of control, software version, etc.

Pictures of everything always help alot.

You must post a new thread including everything you have told me, one of the purposes of this forum is to help others with their machines, wich I happily do, but this kind of help can also >help< others who read our comments, so please, start a new thread.

As for the alarms you say you have, I would start cheking the power supply, when this component fails, a lot of other components fail to send appropiatte feedback.

I am not through the alarm 27 and 28 instead I have discovered something.Just to check that my PCin software is sending or receiving data.I have connected controller on the Hyper Terminal and was able to find out that data (NC data) is been recived on the terminal and not on the PCin software.I think my PCin software is corrupted.Do you have any idea.Is is possible to send NC data through Hyper terminal.I just wanted to share this. The setting is 9600,2,even,on/off.
One more thing happened Display started tripping after turning on the power within few minutes. The remedy was replace the eprom of the faulty card COM cpu on the display with the new one the problem was rectified.I dont know the cause of the proble.Do you have any idea.

Well, it happened to me once with an 810t, I was able to upload the program using Simatic S5 software but was NOT able to upload any parameter (MD) with PCIN, tried everything, changing values in the comm parameters, different pin config in the cable, nothing seemed to work.

So, after being desperate for a day or two, instead I went looking for a "high leg" chair and wrote (keyed in) all the parameters by hand, I know it's a lot of work but was the only way I could handle it.

Anyway, I have attached my PCIN version for you, see if it helps you.
