HI, has anyone removed the FAPT side of the control from a Fanuc 10T control? I have a customer who wants to remove the FAPT and run the control as a 10TA. He has had multiple problems with FAPT and does not want to repair it. What would really help is if some one has a 10TA control with a 14"CRT. I could get the board numbers and software versions from that. Thanks. |

If the Fapt on a 10T quits working, just switch to the G-Code mode and keep working without the Fapt side. The Fapt usually gives out way before the G-Codes, its happened to me in many of the places I trained, but you should be able to keep running in G-Code without getting rid of the Fapt part of the control. Thats usually correct but the control will not boot. It stops after the "RAM" test with an "E" on the motherboard. The trouble lies on the FAPT board.

Does anyone have a machine running with a 10TA control and a 14"CRT with analog drives? If so I'd like some info from the control data sheets. Thanks |
